For close to 20 years I have lived my life as a citizen of the world, moving between homes in three countries (US, UK and France) several times a year. I work with people on every continent in many walks of life. My biggest takeaway: human beings long to have an impact on their world, and each has a role to play. This podcast is dedicated to people all around the world who listen, act and never give up. Thanks for tuning in.

Meet Béla Hatvany
Béla Hatvany is a tech pioneer. He was born in London in 1938 to immigrant parents – his father a Hungarian Jew and Baron, his mother of Spanish nobility – and he lived there throughout World War II. He started working in computers in 1956 and went on to become an electronic engineer. With an MBA from Harvard Business School, he started his first company and began to “build companies as ‘living enquiries,’ an ecology in which all constituents (stakeholders) experience themselves to be well-served.” In 1980, with Henry Ng, he invented the touch screen you use on your smartphone today.
In 2001 he became the key investor and a Board Member of JustGiving, mentoring founders Zarine Kharas and Anne Marie Huby to create the world's first and leading online fundraising platform enabling individuals to raise over £2 billion for charities. The same year, with his wife Ellen and his daughter-in-law Lauren, he created the UK charity Mustardseed Trust to enable visionary organizations and individuals to create partnership-based systems to care for the web of life. He continues to work diligently to enable an economy – theCAREconomy – which cares for all humanity, living beings and our planet.
